Duffy & Company was established in the U.K. in 1973 and still trades today in Sussex. Originally coming to Antigua for sailing, successfully competing his yacht in Antigua Sailing Week, John Duffy MRICS - Chartered Surveyor, together with his wife Lindsay, moved to Antigua in 2005.
Initially running a publishing company but becoming involved again in estate agency in 2015 when he was invited to expand an existing, largely commercial, estate agents into the residential market, which was successfully done.
In addition to the U.K. estate agency, John Duffy also owned businesses in the employment field, property development, computer software and publishing including establishing the U.K.'s first free distribution property newspaper.
Deciding to become independent in 2021, John Duffy established Duffy & Company in Antigua, almost 48 years to the day from when he set up Duffy & Company in the U.K. Sadly John passed away late 2023 after a short battle with cancer. His wife Lindsay has continued the business.
Based in English Harbour and Falmouth but serving the whole of Antigua and, where appropriate, other Caribbean islands. Duffy & Company deals with residential and commercial property, building plots and land. We also offer long term rentals. With more than 40 years of experience in the property business both in the U.K. and in Antigua, Duffy & Company offers a service which is above and beyond the normal laid back Caribbean style, pleasant though this style is, it sometimes does not fit well with efficiency and good service.
Duffy & Company welcomes new clients and potential purchasers from anywhere in the world.
If you require e-mail notifications of new properties when they come
available or price changes, please let us know and we will add you to
our mailing list. The high selling season in Antigua is between
December and May but properties do come available in summer and can,
sometimes, be more affordable.
If you plan on visiting Antigua to view properties, we can arrange
accommodation and transport. If visiting for more than a few days, car
hire is probably more economical than taxis although nothing is cheaper
than the local bus service.
